New Administrative Council of the Chamber
At its annual meeting on November 22, the members of the Chamber elected the following to the Administrative Council for a term of two years: François Bélair (Secretary), Sophie Brunet, Jean-Guy Pagé, Gaétane Richard, Sylvain St-Hilaire (Treasurer), and Yves Trempe.
The following members elected in 2005 remain in office for another year: Michelle Beaudoin, Richard Bessette (President), Stéphane Forest, Jean Forget, and Paul Ladouceur (Vice-President).
2006-11-22 - Christmas Raffle on December 22
To promote local businessesm the Chamber will hold a drawing on December 22 at 16:00 in the pharmacy parking lot. The first prize has a value of $500, the second of $250, and many other prizes. Entry coupons are available at participating merchants.

Info-chambre is now available on line, as well as at several businesses in the village.
2006-05-17 - DISC GOLF at Mont Avalanche
Mont Avalanche Sports Station has found its summer vocation: the first location in the region to play Disc Golf, a sport that combines elements of Frisbee™ and golf. The course is open Saturdays and Sundays from May 20 to October 9, and Fridays from June 24 to September 2. Season passes as well as day passes are now awailable at Mont Avalanche. 2006-04-26 - Chamber`s representative quits nautical committee
The Chamber`s representative on the municipality`s nautical consultative committee, Allan Feldman, has resigned due to a conflict of interest. On April 21, the municipal council adopted a new by-law concerning access to the lakes, ignoring the committee's recommendation to accept the Chamber's proposal concerning access for vacationers of 7 days or more. Mr. Feldman expects that his business will launch a judicial challenge of the by-law. The new representative of the Chamber will be Sylvain Forget. Text of resignation letter (htm 2.4 kb)
2006-03-14 - The Chamber takes a stand on Route 329 (Chemin du Village)
At its meeting of March 8, 2006, the Administrative Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of Saint Adolphe d'Howard adopted a resolution demanding that necessary repairs be carried out on Route 329 in the municipality, before the summer season. The resolution also extends an invitation to the member of the National Assembly for Argenteuil, Mr. David Whissell, to take a drive in Saint Adolphe in his personal vehicle, in order to experience the condition of the Chemin du Village (route 329). Mr. Whissell recently announced investments of $84.9 million for the road network of the Laurentians, but nothing projected for Route 329 in Saint Adolphe d'Howard.Text of the resolution (in French) (doc 28 kb). 2006-03-01 - Position of the Chamber for the public consultation on the nautical by-law
The Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of Saint Adolphe d'Howard has submitted its position paper for the public consultation on the municipal by-law respecting the protection of shorelines and the aquatic environment of Lakes St. Joseph and Ste. Marie. The Chamber proposes the adoption of a code of conduct for the lakes, the maintaining of the right of all residents and owners of Saint Adolphe d'Howard to have motorized access to the lakes, and to allow motorized access, excluding personal watercraft, to clients of lodging establishment for stays of seven days or more. 2005-11-11 - Business Directory 2005-2006
The 2005-2006 business directory of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of Saint Adolphe d'Howard is now available at City Hall for those who have not received a copy by mail. The directory contains the coordinates of all members of the Chambre at the time of publication.

2005-10-28 - Autumn 2005 decoration contest
The Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of Saint Adolphe d'Howard held an autumn 2005 decoration contest for its members and asked the Horticultural Society of Saint Adolphe d'Howard to evaluate the decorations. Many businesses on chemin du Village participated, and we thank them for their participation.

2005-08-06 - 2005-06 Touristic Map available
The 2005-2006 touristic map published by the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of Saint Adolphe d'Howard is now available at the tourist information office at the Centre Plein Air, City Hall, and several business in the village. The map includes a complete list of our members, and indicates the location of business and various points of interest.
